Stock market prices have declined more rapidly in this bear market than the previous two major bear markets.  In fact, if you believe this bear should be  no more severe than all but the Great Depression’s in terms of extent of equity price declines, you may  come to the conclusion stocks have achieved a market bottom.  If, on the other hand, you believe this bear market is more likely to share a duration  in common with the last two, you may conclude there is as much as another year to go during which time the market may fall significantly further on the basis of it’s trajectory to date and time remaining until it buttoms:
